Priyamvada Ramkumar
Priyamvada Ramkumar translates literary fiction from Tamil to English. Her debut translation, Jeyamohan’s Stories of the True was a finalist for ALTA’s National Translation Award – Prose (2023). She was part of the inaugural cohort of South Asia Speaks’ mentorship programme in 2021 and selected into the 2022 ALTA Emerging Translator Mentorship Program. She was also awarded a 2023 PEN/Heim Translation Fund grant for her work on Jeyamohan’s White Elephant. Her works have been published in various journals including Granta, Usawa, Spillwords Press and Asymptote.
